The maximum amount of requested funding per project is 2000.000 EUR for a total period of three years. If the project involves the recruitment of a PhD student, the project duration of the F.R.S.-FNRS sub-project could be up to four years, but should remain within the original budget of 200.000€.
Additional national eligibility criteria for the proposal beyond the general criteria in the Terms of Reference of the joint call
The applicant must be affiliated to a research institution from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. The applicant should also:
The applicant should not have reached retirement at the starting date of the project. If the applicant reaches the age of retirement in the course of the project, he should precisely describe in the proposal how the handover will be managed.
Although not adviced, a single applicant can participate in up to 2 consortia, but only once as a coordinator.
The maximum amount allocated per project is 200.000 EUR. The following costs are eligible:
The categories « scientifique doctorant » and « chercheur temporaire postdoctoral » can only be full-time positions. The three other positions can either be filled full-time or part-time.
“Overhead” is not an eligible cost. If the project is selected for funding, these costs will be subject to a separate agreement between the institution of the beneficiary and the F.R.S.-FNRS. General rules and regulations of FNRS apply: www.frs-fnrs.be
